But today, I’m here to talk to you about something that’s near and dear to my heart: my favorite dog-friendly spots in Spokane!

As a pup who loves nothing more than going on adventures with my people, I’ve explored many of the best spots in town that welcome furry friends like me. Whether it’s off-leash parks, dog-friendly trails, or patio spots where I can chill out with mom + dad while they sip on a cold drink, Spokane has plenty to offer for us four-legged friends.

So, if you’re a dog owner who’s looking for fun places to hang out with your furry companion, or a furry companion looking for places to take your human, keep reading!

Off-Leash Parks in and around Spokane

Spokane offers several off-leash dog parks where your pooch can run and play to their heart’s content. Here is the list of current dog parks in and around Spokane:

Riverfront Dog Park is located in the heart of downtown Spokane offering plenty of space for your pup to run and play.

Spokane Valley Mission Dog Park is a  spacious park with separate areas for large and small dogs, as well as a water fountain and shaded areas.

Scraps Dog Park –  A newer addition to Liberty Lake this dog park is run by the SCRAPS and Spokane Parks – all run by dog-loving volunteers. 

Tubbs Hill –  While not technically an off-leash park, this beach and hiking area in nearby Coeur d’Alene, ID is a popular spot for dogs to swim and play in the water.

Browne’s Addition Dog Park – This small, but well-maintained park is a great option for those in the downtown area.

Spokanimal Dog Park at High Bridge is located near the Spokane River and offers plenty of space for dogs to run and play.

The dog run across from Uprise Brewing is located in the Kendall Yards area and offers a fenced-in area for dogs to play.

Another incredible soon-to-be addition to the Spokane Dog scene is Rex & Relax – Our first indoor Dog park with canned brews for the owners while us dogs play. Coming soon to Division St. make sure to keep an eye on their Instagram for all of the updates and opening day.

Dog-Friendly Trails in Spokane (Leashed)

Spokane also offers several beautiful trails where you can take your pup for a leashed walk or hike. Here are some of the best options in my opinion:

Mt. Spokane State Park offers a variety of hiking trails, from easy to challenging, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Spokane River Centennial Trail runs along the Spokane River for over 37 miles and offers plenty of opportunities for a leisurely walk or bike ride with your dog.

Ben Burr Trail is a 2.5-mile trail and a great option for a quick walk or run with your pup.

River Loop to Sandier Bridge – This 3.7-mile loop trail offers beautiful views of the Spokane River and is a great option for a leisurely walk.

Manito Park –  While dogs must be leashed in this popular park, it offers plenty of beautiful paths and gardens to explore.

High Drive Bluff Trails is a series of trails offering stunning views of the city and surrounding mountains, with options for both short and long hikes.

Pet-Friendly Patios in Spokane (Leashed)

Spokane’s warm summer weather is perfect for enjoying a meal or a drink on a pet-friendly patio with your pup. Here are some of my favorite spots:

No-Li Brewhouse is located right near Gonzaga U and offers a great outdoor patio area where you can sit and enjoy the riverfront view while sipping on a beer or enjoying some delicious food. The patio is also pet-friendly, so you can definitely bring your furry friend along.

Atticus Coffee & Gifts is another pet-friendly spot located in Downtown Spokane. They have a cozy outdoor seating area where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, as well as some tasty snacks. Plus, your dog can join you at the table as long as they are on a leash.

The Scoop and Hidden Bagel in South Hill are tucked in the neighborhoods near Cannon Hill Park and offer a great patio area where you can enjoy some ice cream, bagels, and other delicious treats. The patio is pet-friendly, so you can bring your furry friend along to enjoy the sunshine.

Perry Street Brewing is a craft brewery located in the South Perry District. They have a spacious pet-friendly outdoor patio area where you can enjoy some craft beers, pub fare, and even live music occasionally. Plus, they are very welcoming to leashed dogs and have plenty of water bowls and treats available for them.

El Que is a great pet-friendly spot located in Brownes Addition. They offer a lovely outdoor patio where you can enjoy some delicious tacos, cocktails, and other Latin-inspired dishes. Plus, your dog can join you at the table as long as they are on a leash.

Uprise Brewing is located in Kendall Yards just off the Centennial Trail and offers a great outdoor patio area where you can enjoy some craft beers and tasty food. The patio is pet-friendly, so you can bring your furry friend for a walk and end up with a brew in the sunshine.

Bark, a rescue pub, is located just off Riverfront Park and offers a great patio area where you can enjoy some delicious food and drinks. The patio is pet-friendly, so you can bring your furry friend along to enjoy the atmosphere as well as let your dog indulge in the special pet menu.

Cascadia Public House is located in northern Spokane and offers a great outdoor seating area where you can enjoy some craft beers, wine, and tasty food. The patio is pet-friendly, so you can bring your leashed doggo along to enjoy the sunshine.

Spokane Farmers Market as well as other outdoor markets in town (need a guide? Click here) is a great spot to enjoy some local produce, crafts, and food. Feel free to peruse the market with your leashed pet.

Manito Tap House is located at the top of South Hill and offers a great outdoor patio area where you can enjoy some craft beers, delicious food, and live music. Plus, your dog can join you at the outdoor tables as long as they are on a leash.

Barrister Winery is located right downtown near Brownes Addition and offers a cozy outdoor seating area where you can enjoy some great wines, light bites, and live music. The patio is pet-friendly, so you can bring your furry friend along to enjoy the atmosphere.
